Another exciting week in boarding
11 November 2019
It has been a very wet and windy week here in Montreux. Autumn has definitely arrived and the
surrounding mountain tops are now covered in snow! On Tuesday we had a small concert in school in which a large number of our boarders took part. We had fantastic performances from Paul, Frank and Suzuka at the piano and Sean, Valentina and Yolanda singing. Wendy, Angel, Greta, May, Nicole, Aimee and Amelia sang in the choir and the Y9 group and Bosen and Nayef also played in the band. Well done to all of them for contributing to a very successful and enjoyable evening.
On Friday Y9 performed the play they had been studying in drama, 'The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas', a 2006 Holocaust novel by Irish novelist John Boyne. They did very well, congratulations to Bosen, Kevin, Aleks, May, Mattia and Amelia. A very thought-provoking performance.
On Saturday Y7-10 boarders went to the Trampoline Park in Yverdon, an excellent plan for a cold and wet November day! On Sunday we had an Aikido presentation here at school and the students then had the option to learn and get involved afterwards. Many took this opportunity and had a great time trying out something new.
