The new normal
14 September 2020
Greetings from a very hot and sunny Clarens!
As we go into the third week of this term, the boarders are finding their feet and are settling into a routine.
Everyone is getting used to the 'new normal' and we are very much enjoying being back together as a boarding community again.
Clubs are well underway and the boarders have joined a number activities. A really popular activity with the boarding girls is the student run volleyball club and the gym remains as popular as ever.
On Saturday a group of Boarders headed to Chateau d'Oex for a treasure hunt with a difference. They had to solve clues and riddles to get from one point to the next and complete tasks such as zip lining across a river, climbing up a climbing wall to get the next clue, team building tasks and archery. We finished, after getting the treasure, with a fantastic BBQ.
On Saturday night we had another very atmospheric outdoor cinema, this time on the girls veranda! And there was plenty of popcorn too!
We introduced a Sunday evening house meeting last week so that we can all catch up with each other and discuss the plan for the week ahead as a community. With the weather being so wonderful we were able to do this outside, enjoying the view.
