Welcome from our Head of Junior School

Our Junior School aims to give your children the very best primary education, preparing them for their future in secondary school and beyond. We develop and nurture individual talents and personalities as well as expecting the very best of the children academically, socially and creatively.

We offer supportive, individualised and holistic learning opportunities within an exceptional learning environment.

Our dedicated team works closely in partnership with children and parents to enable all children to flourish and make a positive difference in our ever-changing world.

Our Junior School children follow a bilingual programme entitled ‘Learning Means the World’

Learning Means the World is a thematic curriculum, by design, and thus promotes a cross-curricular approach to teaching and learning.

Learning Means the World is underpinned by four highly relevant world issues, known as the 4Cs:

  • Culture
  • Communication
  • Conflict
  • Conservation

  • Our pupils develop awareness and appreciation of local, national and global conservation issues and initiatives, learning how they have an important role to play in sustainability and shaping our future world.
  • Lessons are fun and creative by using practical hands-on activity ideas as a springboard.
  • LMTW is a global curriculum ideally suited to our international setting, comprising of more than 60 nationalities.
  • Learning pathways in LMTW are matched t the St. George’s Learning Principles, which are unique to the school. High ability tasks, pupil-led learning and a breadth of pedagogical approaches are planned into the curriculum and encourage pupils to be more independent learners.
