POSITION: French Teacher

St. George’s International School, Switzerland is an international day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 3 – 18. Our superb campus, situated near Montreux, overlooks Lake Geneva and the French Alps beyond.


We have an exciting new opportunity for an inspirational, dynamic and outstanding French Teacher to join our World Languages Faculty. 

The successful candidate will be expected to teach in Middle and Senior School (students aged 10 to 18) working with pupils of all abilities and levels, from beginners to mother tongue. An ability to teach IGCSE French and IBDP French Language & Literature is essential.

French plays a central part at St. George’s. From early years through to Year 13, developing multilingualism forms a crucial and much valued part of our international curriculum.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching French as a Foreign and First Language from Yr 6 to Yr 13
  • Preparing students for official exams, including DELF
  • Working in collaboration with the Faculty to ensure Teaching & Learning are of the highest standard

The person appointed will be expected to contribute to the school's co-curricular programme and will assume a pastoral role within the school as a Tutor, in addition to their teaching and other duties.

We have an exciting new opportunitfor an inspirational, dynamic and outstanding Dance Teacher to join our Expressive and Performing Arts faculty.  

The Arts play an important role at St. George’s. From early years through to Year 13, they form a central and much valued part of our holistic curriculum. We expect every child to have the opportunity of learning an instrument, performing on stage and having their artwork exhibited.  

The successful candidate will be expected to teach throughout the school, working with children of all abilities.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Teaching dance all through the school form Foundation stage to IB 
  • Preparing students for dance exams 
  • Working in collaboration with the dept to ensure shows and productions are of the highest standard. 
  • An ability to work across Music, Dance, Drama and PE faculty  

Being a skier an advantage.
