JUNIOR SCHOOL

Welcome from our head of Junior School

Our Junior School aims to give your children the very best primary education, preparing them for their future in secondary school and beyond. We develop and nurture individual talents and personalities as well as expecting the very best of the children academically, socially and creatively.

We offer supportive, individualised and holistic learning opportunities within an exceptional learning environment.

Our dedicated team works closely in partnership with children and parents to enable all children to flourish and make a positive difference in our ever-changing world.

Bilingual Foundation Stage

Our bilingual Foundation Stage has seven areas of learning and development:

  •         Personal, social and emotional development
  •         Communication & language
  •         Literacy
  •     Mathematics
  •         Understanding the world
  •         Physical development
  •         Expressive Arts & Design

Each area of learning has early learning goals that set out the skills, understanding, knowledge and attitudes which it is hoped children will reach or exceed by the end of Foundation Stage. Children will be at different stages of progress towards these goals depending on their age and stage of development.

The Upper Junior School

Our curriculum continues to be enquiry-based and we aim to integrate common themes across the various subject areas. The children continue to learn French in differentiated ability groups and French is also the language of instruction in Music, PE and Sport. Some children take Humanities in French.  English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Dance, Computing, Art and Life skills are now taught in English.
